Si (pronounced see), is the Italian/Spanish word for yes. It's also an acronym for Solutions Integrated.
Yes - Si can do it! You want a CMS? Yes. You want a photo gallery? Yes. Web chat? Yes.
Well I guess you can read through some of the
features to give you more of an idea.
The project started in August 2005 when I decided to take all of the little web projects such as catalogues, image galleries, text database applications and content management systems, and combine them into one urber online web application.
Since then there have been at least 5 different builds of Si. This is because Si has been built to be backward compatible, flexible and portable. To do this the code had to be re-written several times until it was exactly how I wanted it to be.
This involved completely pulling the code base apart and putting it back together into what I thought to be the perfect framework. Often I'd have a new idea on how to make it perfect - and the re-build process started again.
Now, finally after 6 years I have the final code base and I'm working to get this online and open to the public for all to see and use.
In time you will see the home page change to include ways for you to stay informed on what's happening. You'll be able to send in your ideas, and help shape Si.
The goal is to have an all-in-one application that we can all use and share with the world.
